Cool Banners, an Ontario Web banner ad creation service, said a recent experiment shows that Java-based ad banners appear to generate higher response rates.

“We created and deployed ad banners in all the leading Internet advertising technologies, including Java, Video, Audio, Gif Animation, and just plain Static ad banners,” said Bisma Haider, president of Cool Banners.

“Java banners broke all prior response rate records. Java-based ad banners generated an overwhelming 14.5% click-through rate. These precise measurements keenly demonstrated Java’s value as a tool to help marketers better evaluate banner creation and effectiveness,” he said.

Specifics of how the study was conducted were not disclosed.
