San Francisco-based banner network LinkExchange, furthering its strategy to furnish Web site owners “with everything they need to succeed online,” said it has acquired Submit It! Inc.
LinkExchange said it now counts one million Web site owners as users of its services, and will integrate the Submit It! properties into its suite of services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Submit It! acquisition adds the following new services to the LinkExchange line of branded properties: Submit It! Announcement Services for new sites; ClickTrade, a service that lets Web site owners create their own revenue-sharing or pay-per-click affiliate programs; PositionAgent, which allows Web site owners to monitor their site rankings within the major search engines; ListBot, an email list manager that allows site owners to stay in touch with their Web site visitors; DirectoryGuide, a catalog of search engines and directories that accept Web site announcements.
“We’ve been a close partner of LinkExchange since October of 1996,” said Bill Younker, president of Submit It!. “Since that time we have both become major forces in the web site services and promotions business. By joining forces we can grow our markets more aggressively and serve our customers more effectively.”
Just Monday of this week, LinkExchange acquired Merchant Planet, a full-scale provider of online commerce functionality for Web sites.
