With a $9,000 joining and membership fee for the first year – the price tag ensures an exclusive cliental – and a successive $3,000 annual payment ensures the riff raff is kept priced out, and the bankrupt get kicked out of the club; Netropolitan.
The elitist site is billed as “The World’s Most Exclusive Online Community”, with the unique goal of the group to give “people with more money than time” a chance to interact with similar people.
The customer list of the site is kept under wraps to preserve the integrity of the sites members, explains a company statement.
It said: “We simply cannot stress enough how important preserving our members’ privacy is to us.
“Other than announcing that at our launch we already had several hundred members, we will never publicly state the exact number of members in the club. And especially, we will NEVER release or verify the identity of any of our members — ever.”
Users must be at least 21 to join the ad-free land of social purity. The site operates much like Facebook with followers, friends, messaging and notifications and is equipped with unlimited cloud file storage and a 24-7 monitoring service.
