NextCard Introduces e-centives Coupons for Cardholders

San Francisco-based NextCard, an Internet Visa card provider, said it will offer customized, money-saving digital coupons from online promotion firm e-centives.
NextCard cardholders can register with e-centives to receive promotions and offers from online stores such as Music Boulevard, eToys, Sports Superstore Online and egghead.com. Digital coupons from e-centives are the newest addition to NextCard’s GoShopping! site.
Cardholders can also tailor their coupons to their own personal interests, such as sports, travel, music, etc., and simply click to redeem or store in their personal account to redeem later. Financial arrangements between the companies were not disclosed.
GoShopping! provides cardholders with several online tools, including the Bargain Finder, the Shopping Guide and now digital coupons. NextCard launched in December 1997; 1.5 million people have applied for the NextCard Internet Visa to date, the company said.
