Doug Wintz has been appointed vice president of advertising sales for PrizePoint Entertainment Corp., a newly established company that creates entertainment programming for the mass-market audience online.
Wintz will oversee development of the company’s strategic advertising program in support of its Web site. Wintz reports to Chris Hassett, president and chief executive officer of PrizePoint Entertainment.
Wintz has more than 10 years experience in online, interactive media. Prior to joining PrizePoint, he served as general manager of CondeNet, the interactive division of Conde Nast Publishing, where he focused on sales and operations. Before that, he was vice president of network development for Softbank Interactive Marketing. And he was director of advertising sales for AT&T Personal Online Services. He also worked at Prodigy Services.
PrizePoint offers Reward Entertainment, an array of entertainment activities that reward users with prizes. The company supports the free use of its site by creating e-commerce, advertising and direct response marketing opportunities.
