San Francisco-based Rent Net signed a three-year advertising agreement with truck rental company Ryder TRS (a division of Budget Group Inc.), extending a relationship that began in 1996.
“Because so many of Rent Net’s millions of visitors are seeking relocation services such as truck rentals, we are able to send a tremendous number of qualified leads to Ryder TRS,” said Jed Katz, chief operating officer and co- founder of Rent Net. “When there is such a natural fit between advertiser and consumer, pay-per-performance agreements such as this one with Ryder TRS are a win-win for both companies.”
Under the agreement, Ryder TRS will appear prominently throughout Rent Net, including the rental service’s homepage, listings pages and in Rent Net’s Moving Resources Guide. Ryder TRS will offer Rent Net users a one-time 10 percent discount on truck rentals and the opportunity to request a quote online. Financial specifics of the deal were not disclosed.
“Rent Net is one of the most effective ways to reach our target customers on the Internet,” said Tom Zorn, president of Ryder TRS. “This renewed agreement maximizes our exposure on Rent Net, and allows us to reach thousands of new customers every month.”
Based in Denver, Ryder TRS operates a fleet of more than 32,000 trucks that are rented through a nationwide network of approximately 3,500 dealers.
