Squared Online offers sneak peek into Talent Revolution event
The digitally-savvy folk of Squared Online, a new digital marketing education programme created by Google and Home Learning College, have put together a highlights video of their recent launch event, which saw experts gather together to discuss the ‘talent revolution’ currently taking place in the industry.
The digitally-savvy folk of Squared Online, a new digital marketing education programme created by Google and Home Learning College, have put together a highlights video of their recent launch event, which saw experts gather together to discuss the ‘talent revolution’ currently taking place in the industry.
The event saw the likes of Dominic Allen, Agency Director, Google UK and Livity’s Co-Founder, Sam Conniff, share their thoughts on the need for more young minds to bridge the skills gap in the booming industry, which experiences significant advancements almost daily and constantly demands fresh minds and new approaches to keep it relevant and modern.
Squared’s Programme Lead, Sarah Tate, argued that in order to foster talent in the industry, digital marketing professionals should avoid teaching tools and tactics, which quickly become outdated, and instead seek to develop a more strategic approach. By building and nurturing confidence in students and enabling learning by making active moves to challenge people with ambitious projects, students will be better equipped to tackle the future issues thrown at them by the industry, no matter how advanced the issues may seem.
To demonstrate its dedication to tackling these issues, Squared announced it would be introducing 400 fully funded scholarships in 2014 for graduates. As well as this, the programme will also be launching a new initiative, the Squared talent circle, which seeks to connect businesses with high calibre Squared students.
