Stella Artois, Saks Fifth Pick VML for Digital

Agency confirms it has landed AB Inbev brand.

VML has been awarded the Stella Artois account by Anheuser-Busch InBev, becoming the brand’s first digital AOR. John Mulvihill, director of marketing services for WPP-owned VML, told ClickZ in an email that the partnership was forged “about a month ago.”

Mulvihill also confirmed that his Kansas City-based agency was now leading social media marketing for Saks Fifth Avenue, though he wasn’t sure when that relationship began.

The account wins had been rumored for weeks and were first reported by AgencySpy.

VML was one of five companies profiled by ClickZ in a recent feature on interactive agencies in the heartland. Its clients have included Microsoft, ESPN, Kellogg’s, Southwest Airlines, and Colgate.
