IAB’s Mobile Optimisation Survey has revealed that a significant proportion of the highest-spending brands in the UK, which include Sky, EE and Microsoft, have been taking advantage of technology that enables websites to adapt their layouts according to user preferences.
The data highlights that a total of 11% of the highest spending brands in the UK are making a greater effort to tailor their sites’ to users preferences with responsive design, which optimises websites according to whether a user is viewing it on mobile, tablet, PC or laptop.
Senior mobile manager for the IAB, Alex Kozloff, revealed that responsive design allows sites to offer users ‘a truly multi-platform experience.”
He also commented: “It’s encouraging to see the speed at which advertisers are embracing this technology and really thinking about how consumers interact with their brand.”
