Twitter adds user-generated poll feature

Twitter has been busy lately, adding a bunch a new features including a buy button and political donation tool. The latest addition is a new tool that lets users create polls and track results.

Twitter has been busy lately, adding a bunch a new features including a buy button and political donation tool. The latest addition is a new tool that lets users create polls and track results.

Anthony Noto, Twitter’s chief financial officer, started posting tweets on Thursday with embedded polls:

Aly Pavela, a spokeswoman for the San Francisco-based company, told Bloomberg “We’re experimenting with a new way to poll users on Twitter.”

The polling tool aligns Twitter with Facebook and Google, who already provide the tool for users.
