‘Dronies’ are affixed with a camera to their undercarriage which is capable of flight – the airborne vehicle took to the skies of Cannes to mark its maiden journey.

Twitter staff developed the winged technique using celebrities to frame the first shorts, the ‘Dronies’ then fly away for an wider perspective, with the videos then posted on Vine and Twitter.
