The UK Blog Awards – taking place in April – celebrate company and individual talent across 12 industry categories including health, travel and automotive and 2 sub-categories commending young and innovative bloggers.
All entrants are now open to a public vote process, which will close on Wednesday 3 December and will be followed by a strict judging process from an expert panel.
Gemma Pears, director and founder of the UK Blog Awards, said: “The increase in entrants for 2015’s awards reflect the sheer importance of blogging for companies, individuals and freelancers across the UK.
“There have been so many fantastic success stories from the 2014 awards. Some bloggers have been able to quit their jobs to become full-time bloggers whilst others have secured new jobs as a result of winning an award.
“Previously, news and information would be shared by generic platforms such as T.V. magazines and newspapers, but now, social media and blogging has created a new news source and the world is waking up to the power of digital platforms.
“We’re now in the midst of the public vote process and it’s really exciting. On the first day alone we received over 2,500 votes, again more than doubling last year’s figure.
“Blogging is such a demanding job and, or hobby, why should people and businesses not be awarded for their hard work?”
