Microsoft and Virgin Holidays have announced a two-year campaign to launch ‘Plan-it Mojo’, an interactive hub built as an extension of the Virgin Holidays website.
The platform, built by Microsoft and Manning Gottlieb OMD, responded to an initial brief to design a digital alternative to the traditional holiday brochure and a content stream for Holidays destinations.
‘Plan-it Mojo’ is an interactive, deep-dive guide to all Virgin Holidays locations across the world.
The “alternative” hub lets consumers select and save flagged places of interest to the cloud from a number of categories such as entertainment, sport, food and drink, night life and hotels. lets consumers select and save flagged places of interest to the cloud from a number of categories such as entertainment, sport, food and drink, night life and hotels.
The tool is built using responsive design to optimise to any screen, be it PC, tablet or mobile, and is designed to provide Virgin Holidays’ customers with a genuinely useful and easy to use tool to research, refine and book their holidays.
All content is sourced and created to ensure it resonates with Virgin Holidays audiences, such as Blogs and Vlogs from well-known travel writers, with expert views on a host of activities, sights and entertainment spots, as well as bespoke videos.
Sam Otter, Head of Marketing at Virgin Holidays, says: “This industry first provides a new and engaging way for consumers to view our content, creating an interactive platform for them to plan their holiday.”
