In the process of educating more than 60,000 social media professionals, Hootsuite has identified three distinct stages of social media maturity. Where does your organisation sit, and how can you keep progressing?
Whether you’re at stage one, ‘Social Advocacy’ — where social media is in the hands of a few emerging experts within your organisation — or adopting an organisation-wide governance model like stage three Social Organisations do, there are steps you can take to become a better social business.
That being said, becoming a social business isn’t the answer for every organisation. As the experts at Hootsuite write in a new white paper: “It’s up to your executive team to decide just how far to integrate social media into your organisation’s existing processes and departments.”
