YouTube has recognised the talent behind the ads, crowning Wieden + Kennedy the top creative agency of 2014, with Mindshare getting gold for top media agency.
YouTube has recognised the talent behind the ads, crowning Wieden + Kennedy the top creative agency of 2014, with Mindshare getting gold for top media agency.
The best agencies were determined by an algorithm that factored in paid views, organic views and audience retention.
Wieden + Kennedy appeared 11 times on last year’s YouTube Ads Leaderboard, with its work for Nike, Jaguar and the Marks & Spencer Christmas campaign – which topped the list.
Nibbling at the heels of Wieden + Kennedy’s success was Adam&EveDDB which raked in success with its work for Beats by Dre, Always, and Snickers.
In bronze position was AMV BBDO, winning applause for its work with Sainsbury’s Christmas ad.
Winning gold in the in the media agency category was Mindshare, closely followed by Mediacom and Carat.
YouTube also released its list of the UK’s ten most watched ads in 2014 which combined earned over 330 million views globally.
Sainsbury’s Christmas ad topped the charts, racking up more UK views than the John Lewis Christmas advert or two of Nike’s very successful world cup adverts.
