The once British-owned Cadbury has dented its public image after chopping the number of Creme Eggs from six to five without slicing the price. Loyal fans took to Twitter to demand justice.
On a lighter note, we’re pretty sure that the best part of this tragedy is that online trade magazine The Grocer came up with this: “Chocolate fans say it’s no yolk that six packs of Cadbury Creme Eggs have been reduced to five packs.”
Cadbury claimed that “rising commodity costs” are to blame for the egg shortage, which come as a nation mourns the loss of a treasured recipe amid reports that Mondelez-owned Cadbury has secretly adapted the ingredients.
So what? Why aren’t they as upset about that as the palm oil in the bloody eggs and what that does to the environment, orangutans and deforestation!!?? #FirstWorldProblems
