A new report conducted by Econsultancy has revealed that two-thirds of businesses have invested greater amounts into their online display budgets this year, with only 14% decreasing their budget, as the greater benefits of online advertising are increasingly realised.
The third ever Online Advertising Survey, produced in association with Rubicon Project, this year’s data reveals an improving trend in the number of businesses looking to increase their investment in display advertising, with 54% in 2009 becoming 64% in 2013, as business confidence in online marketing grows.
Part of a wider trend of investment in digital channels, the report also highlights the continued efforts of many brands to invest in Facebook and social media sites, with 71% reported to increase their social media budgets in 2011, and 68% in 2013.
