In its news blog post, Facebook highlights a few points, three of which are important to brands, marketers, and advertisers:
User experience has been a priority. Read: Engagement is made easier and dwell time is likely to increase.
Autoplay videos come full screen. Read: Hello eyeballs.
“Trusted publishers,” i.e. brands and popular users, are authenticated as such. Read: It makes their content easier to spot.
Another smart detail: Facebook has also built a microsite announcing Paper, with an immersive design that mirrors what the experience on Paper is likely to be, complete with the video autoplay in full screen.
