Unique Media Adds Virtual Avenue and Bomis.com

“These great sites exemplify our site selection criteria and niche focus because of their community feel and their inherent size” said Unique CEO Michael Weiner, adding that the two sites “give us an additional 30 million impressions per month.”
Virtual Avenue is an offshoot of a current Unique Media partner site, USA Online. Launched three months ago, Virtual Avenue has grown quickly to 20 million impressions a month offering free virtual domain hosting and domain name registration.
Bomis.com is an Internet ring index that organizes related Web pages in a “ring” formation with a variety of themes. Bomis.com’s “rings” bridge the gap between search engine and community. Bomis.com delivers 10 million impressions per month.
Unique Media nearly tripled its impression base in the last quarter of 1998 with the signing of The Datacom Network, Gallop & Gallop’s Virtual Billboard Network, and Nettaxi. The additions boost Unique Media’s capacity to more than half a billion impressions per month.
The Unique Media Network is organized into interactive “neighborhoods” focusing on sports, games, travel, technology, singles, weather, e-commerce and alternative lifestyles.
