R/GA promotes Chris Colborn to chief experience officer; Cookie Jar taps Gorilla Nation for ad representation.

R/GA promoted Chris Colborn to chief experience officer. The digital agency promoted Colborn, from his position as EVP, worldwide creative director, to the newly created post.

Kevin Ryan has joined Search Engine Strategies as conference chair and will have oversight of ClickZ sister site Search Engine Watch.
A seasoned search industry vet, Ryan was VP interactive media for the Interpublic Group’s agency Wahlstrom Interactive and founder and CEO of Kinetic Results. He’s also worked for Did-It and DoubleClick.

Cookie Jar Entertainment selected Gorilla Nation for online advertising. The children’s entertainment company will use the online ad sales rep firm to promote the “Spider Riders” and “The Doodlebops” Web sites.

LIN TV selected VMIX for online video. The television, digital media and online news organization that owns and operates 29 television stations and Web sites, will use VMIX to provide user-generated videos, photos, audio, blogs, ratings, polls, and other content on LIN TV’s station Internet sites.

Wetpaint, the Wiki company for collaborating and publishing online, will use StrongMail’s e-mail platform.

CoverGirl selected Limbo 41414 to provide mobile support for its CoverGirl Queen Collection Cosmetics contest. The mobile entertainment company will host three separate month-long games called “Every Woman is a Queen” to promote a contest to see Queen Latifah perform in a concert, sponsored by CoverGirl and American Airlines.

Foodandwine.com selected FeedRoom for online video production. Food & Wine magazine, which is published by American Express Publishing Corporation, is currently airing video segments of star chefs preparing dishes at the 2006 Food & Wine Magazine Classic in Aspen.

Pepperjam selected DoubleClick for online ad management. The Internet marketing agency will use DoubleClick’s DART platform for its search, rich media and display ad needs.

SportingNews.com and Active.com selected Quigo for ad targeting. The sports community and active lifestyles Web sites will use private label versions of Quigo’s AdSonar platform.
