Promotions at Digitas and Gannett; hires at Behavior Design and Tentoe, investment cash for ex-ValueClick exec.

Digitas has promoted four executives. Nancy Langenstein was named SVP Marketing at the firm’s media agency Modem Media in San Francisco. Lincoln Bjorkman has been promoted to EVP Creative at Digitas in New York. Also in the agency’s New York office, Chia Chen has moved up to SVP marketing and Steven Kaufman to SVP media.

Online agency Behavior Design has added five new staffers. Imari Oliver, director of project management was formerly at Grey Interactive. Creative Director Anthony Armendariz hails from Rapp Collins Worldwide. Longtime DC Comics exec Dana Kurtin joins as project manager. Abstract Edge-alum David Wu has been hired as technology specialist. New Senior Software Engineer George Matthes was most recently at The Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Three Gannett Digital execs have been handed new positions. Former VP of sales and marketing for the firm’s newspaper division, Daniel Donaghy, is now SVP of sales at Gannett Digital. Peter Lundquist, the new VP of content and product development for the digital division, was VP content and operations for the newspaper division. Matthew Jones, former director of mobile products at USAToday.com, was named director of mobile strategy and operations at the digital unit.

Interep Interactive ad representation unit Winstar Interactive has been chosen as ad sales rep for 75 Reed Business Information Web sites. They include Electronic Business and Multichannel News.

Private equity firm GTCR is investing in QFour Digital, a new holding company set up to acquire and run online advertising tech firms. QFour CEO Jeffrey A. Pullen previously served as COO of ad network ValueClick.

Online merchandising firm Tentoe has appointed ex-Adobe exec Dennis Marshall VP of marketing and product management. Marshall previously served as the director of venture development for the software outfit.

Ad serving company Adtech, which recently opened a U.S. office in New York, will serve ads for artist development firm Music Nation. The site will launch a multi-genre Web video music contest in January.

AKQA’s DC office recently unveiled a new holiday site for The United States Postal service which offers information on hold mail services, pick-up and shipping. The site will be promoted through a direct mail campaign.
