Execs & Accounts for March 10, 2008

Shiv Singh heads up social media efforts for Avenue A | Razorfish, Mike Grehan becomes KDM for Acronym Media, and Jeremy Daly joins Agency.com.

Avenue A | Razorfish appoints Shiv Singh to director of strategic initiatives. In this position Singh will lead the agency’s global social media efforts for clients including Carnival Cruise Lines, Levi Strauss, and L’Oreal.

Mike Grehan is named keyword-driven marketing officer at Acronym Media, a newly-created position. Grehan, a ClickZ columnist will split his time between the firm’s New York and U.K. offices, and oversee global operations including throughout Europe and Asia Pacific for clients including SAP, Nokia, BMW, HP, and Four Seasons Hotels.

Jeremy Daly joins Agency.com as director of planning and head of the New York office. He was most recently at Ogilvy, where he worked on accounts including IBM. He has also worked with clients such as Yahoo, Nestle, American Express, and Unilever.

Brand experience firm Method makes two VP of media and entertainment appointments. Geoff Katz, two-time Emmy award winning interactive TV executive with experience at TiVo and ABC. John Gilles, gained experience working at networks such as Comcast’s GVTV, TechTV, and ZDTV, where he helped develop digital media products including VoD, broadband video channels, rich media Web sites, and interactive television applications.

San Francisco-based FreeWheel signs two director-level executives. Laura Sebekos, account director, is responsible for the technology provider’s clients. She was previously VP, publisher management, at Jumpstart overseeing the firm’s contextual partners. FreeWheel also named Melissa Mulvihill sales director to work with clients on video content distribution issues. Mulvihill was previously director of rich media sales at DoubleClick.

The Advertising Research Foundation gains Joel Rubinson as chief research officer. Rubinson left his senior branding and communications post at Synovate to head up research at the ARF.

AdReady recruits from AOL, Microsoft. Former AOL exec Mark Feldman joined AdReady as SVP of sales and business development. Saleel Sathe, was named VP, product management. Sathe was previously VP, product management, for Microsoft’s adCenter.

NetShelter Technology Media names Laura Gaffney vice president of its publisher network. Gaffney was previously director of business development at Vibrant Media.
