Denver-based travel site TRIP.com named Denver-based Barnhart/CMI Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations and New York City-based TBS Media Management as its new agencies of record.
Barnhart/CMI has been selected to handle the multi-million dollar national advertising and public relations business, and recently launched TRIP.com’s new branding campaign. The agency is also leading TRIP.com’s strategic advertising, creative, interactive and collateral development for the company’s site re-design, and also coordinated last month’s national launch of the new intelliTRIP product.
TBS Media Management will handle media buying, merchandising and promotion to support TRIP.com’s multi-media campaign.
“We have put together a customized plan to continually surround key business travelers with TRIP.com’s branding message via a broad-based, mobile and guerrilla out-of-home advertising program,” said Ed Weiner, senior vice president and director of media services. The media mix will include national cable television and radio networks, local radio stations, and national business, computer, Internet, and travel publications.
Billings were not disclosed for either agency.
“Barnhart’s ability to integrate online and off-line advertising with strong public relations fit our needs perfectly. They are truly a prototype agency of the future,” said Jim Gregory, vice president of Marketing for TRIP.com. “With TBS, we take it to yet another level by maximizing their world-class media power.
