IAB U.K. hires Mew for mobile; Foviance buys Applied Insights; Myspace gets new European COO
The IAB U.K. has hired Jonathan Mew as its first head of mobile. The former Orange head of marketing will be tasked with driving the IAB’s mobile strategy through events, publications and research, and will also head up the IAB’s Mobile Council.
Customer experience consultancy Foviance has acquired analytical consulting firm Applied Insights. Neil Mason, Applied Insights’ director and founder, will join Foviance as director of analytical consulting, and lead the firm’s new initiative and analytical consulting practice. Mason currently serves on the board of directors of the Web Analytics Association, the global industry body for digital analytics professionals.
MySpace has appointed former Expedia managing director Caroline Cartellieri as its European COO. Cartellieri left Expedia in March; previously she co-founded eDelights.com and served as director of finance at Kingfisher.
Car rental firm, Europcar, has appointed Bigmouthmedia to handle its SEO account. Bigmouth will run campaigns across Europe, including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Portugal.
