Execs & Accounts for June 30, 2006

Google hires new director of automation for dMarc; Autobytel hires Roletter to lead site operations; Fox Searchlight promotes Allen to lead advertising and new media.

Google hired Jim Woods as director of automation for dMarc, its radio division. He joins from Harris Corporation, where he was oversaw automation in the broadcast division.

Autobytel hired George Roletter as VP of Web site operations, a new post. Roletter previously led AOL’s studio operations.

Fox Searchlight Pictures promoted Stephanie Allen to EVP of creative advertising and new media. She was previously SVP of creative advertising. She will oversee all online content and design for Fox Searchlight titles.

Touch Clarity, whose software provides on-site behavioral targeting for Web businesses, hired Jeffrey Clayton as VP of regional sales. Clayton’s background includes a stint as VP of sales at DoubleClick North America.

Connected Media Technologies hired two top sales execs. Izzy Gonzalez was a consultant to the media industry, and Jorge Escasena worked at Televisa as publisher of ESPN Deportes La Revista.

Massimo Burgio has left Zunch Communications, where he was business development manager for the San Francisco office. He cited philosophical differences.

Sulake Corporation hired Melanie Hall as director of marketing, North America for HABBO, its community and gaming destination. She was previously president of non-profit production house ijane.

AdValiant hired David Shteif as director of business development. He was previously director of business development for The Selling Source.

Abandon Mobile, which integrates interactive, TV and broadcast content with the wireless channel, hired Kristin Montgomery as VP of sales and marketing. Montgomery most recently held management posts with Glu Mobile and Hands-on Mobile.
