1-800-Flowers.com woos video Valentines; TV Guide and Brightcove sign syndication agreement.
1-800-Flowers.com has selected UGENmedia to create ads for a Valentines Day campaign.The florist is using UGENmedia to create a user-generated advertising initiative that allows consumers to create “Video Valentines.”
TV Guide Broadband and Brightcove signed a syndication agreement. TV Guide Broadband will use Brightcove to publish and manage online video for syndication to Web site affiliates across the Internet.
GoFish acquired Bolt Media. The combined company will develop made-for-Internet programming targeting the 18-34-year-old demographic. The stock-for-stock transaction was approximately $30 million.
Blue Ribbon Digital promoted Greg Stobb and Katie Shiffler. The online advertising agency named Stobb account supervisor and Shiffler account executive.
PureVideo Networks has expanded its ad sales team. Kathryn Herrik was named Midwest sales director and Ashley Jackson was named sales planner. PureVideo Networks owns StupidVideos.com, GrindTV.com, PureVideo.com, and HollywoodUpClose.com.
Planetvu chose Internap and VitalStream to deliver global IPTV. Planetvu has selected a combination of the companies’ technologies to deliver live on-demand TV programming across the Internet.
Carat Fusion hired two senior account management personnel in its San Francisco office. The digital marketing agency named Andrew Hoeberichts vice president, group account director and Wendy Lee associate account director.
Ogilvy Japan named Marcus Jackson group ECD. Jackson will report to co-chairman and chief creative officer Akira Odagiri.
