It’s day one of Ad:tech and ClickZ has numerous feet on the ground in San Francisco. Too early to say what the big themes are here, but there’s plenty of early chatter in the form of press releases from companies you’ve never heard of – or perhaps have just barely heard of. Specifically, there seem to be a bunch of little acquisition announcements. Here are a few:

AMPP Media acquires DemandX, developer of a video player: If you’re distributing video and rich media, you simply have to have a video player these days. AMPP is getting one with an acquisition of DemandX and renaming itself AMPP Media Networks.

Intela acquires Crisp Ads: A small lead gen and online ad firm buys a small blog network.

PayPerPost buys e-mail alert service: An RSS alternative for blog fans, Zookoda delivers summaries of blog content in e-mail form. It creates a potential new source of ad revenue as well. PayPerPost recently almost acquired Performancing, but backed out of the deal.
