Reporting directly to CEO Chan Suh, Sugarman will be responsible for managing the New York staff including the creative, technical and account services departments.
“Aaron has been a tremendous contributor to the growth and success of Agency.com,” said Suh. “His abilities as a manager and a leader are going to be a great asset to the New York office as we continue to evolve and expand.”
Sugarman joined the company in May of 1996 as its first creative director. In that role, he had a hand in shaping sites for a wide range of clients, including American Express, British Airways, MetLife and Nike, among others.
Promoted to vice president, creative director in October of 1997, Sugarman built a team of creative directors, art directors, designers, and site editors that has earned more than a dozen major interactive awards in the past year.
Prior to joining Agency.com, Sugarman served as the original editor-in-chief of Conde Nast Traveler Online.
Founded in January 1995, the agency has over 375 employees with offices in New York, Boston, San Francisco, Dallas and London.
