Major new customers include iVillage, Macromedia, the U.S. Postal Service, NewsReal, and the first ARIA customers based in Europe–Germany’s Audi and the U.K.’s Associated New Media, the company said.
Andromedia said it also received repeat purchases from existing customers including Cyberian Outpost, Sony Corp., Amgen, EarthLink Network, and Sun Microsystems. Financial details were not disclosed for the privately held company.
“Demand for ARIA continues to grow as the Web site becomes increasingly a mission-critical marketing and sales channel,” said Kent Godfrey, Andromedia president and CEO. “Web traffic is ever increasing, complexity is mounting, and more and more sites are looking to integrate dynamic content, personalization, and ad serving applications.”
ARIA is made to process Web information in real time, then make it available in real time for marketing professionals to determine the return on investment for their online marketing, advertising, and e-commerce initiatives.
