Relish, a 4G wireless network, took to the streets of London to highlight the growing extinction of the landline.

Relish, a 4G wireless network, took to the streets of London to highlight the growing extinction of landline.

The network offered Londoners £50 to dial their landline number off the top of their heads and filmed the results.

It seems Londoner’s are unaware of the number that once was the only connection to the outside world. Are landline numbers a thing of the past? Why do we have them? Will they eventually become obsolete?

Relish looked to expose how many people simply have a landline for the sole purpose of accessing the internet – further finding that that 56% were unaware of their landline bill.
