Digital adspending to be almost 50% of total UK ad spending by 2017

A new report by eMarketer has revealed that the growth in mobile adspend in the UK will mean that by 2017, overall adspend for digital will be 49.7% of the total UK ad spend.

A new report by eMarketer has revealed that the growth in mobile adspend in the UK will mean that by 2017, overall adspend for digital will be 49.7% of the total UK ad spend.

The figures reveal that UK mobile ad will reach almost £3.58 billion ($5.68 billion) by the year 2017, representing almost a quarter (22.4%) of the total ad spend in the UK.

Real-time bidding (RTB) platforms are being cited as one of the main reasons for helping increase the confidence of UK brands and media agencies, as they see the effects of better audience-targeting through mobile ads.
