EVB Wins BestBuy and Sunkist, Hires President

A branded content specialist wins four accounts and names a new president.

Interactive agency EVB has added several big accounts and rehired one of its first employees to lead the firm as president.

The appointment of Cary Savas — who has held director and executive posts at Beyond Interactive, Organic and Publicis Dialog — follows the wins of BestBuy, CardStore, Kashi and Sunkist.

The agency specializes in the experiential marketing and branded content areas. Earlier this year, it produced notable work for LeapFrog wireless, creator of a “pentop” computer. Other clients have included Old Spice and Juicy Fruit, for which it produced a much-maligned blog based on one of the client’s TV spots.

Savas will oversee account service, planning and media for all clients. In addition to the digital agencies above, he’s worked stints at Goodby Silverstein & Partners, Anderson & Lembke, Saatchi & Saatchi and Foote Cone & Belding. His account work includes Disney, Nike, Levi Strauss, Johnson & Johnson and Microsoft.
