Fox Interactive Media names Jack Kennedy EVP of strategy; Medio hires Yahoo Search Marketing exec; Wallace and Gromit go with ROO.

Fox Interactive Media (FIM) hired Jack Kennedy as executive vice president of strategy and corporate development. Previously Kennedy managed corporate development for Fox Network Group’s Business Development organization.

Medio Systems named John Kim vice president of product management and product marketing. The mobile search and advertising firm created the position for Kim, who was previously senior director of strategic and product marketing for Yahoo Search Marketing.

Universal Pictures tapped Freewebs for Widget advertising campaign for Mr. Bean’s Holiday. The site creation and management tools provider developed a calendar widget, which allows users to upload a photo themselves to a Mr. Bean’s Holiday calendar.

Dow Jones appointed several execs within The Wall Street Journal Digital Network. The media firm named Daniel Bernard as general manager of The Wall Street Journal Online; Gail Griffin as general manager for Barron’s Online; Jim Bernard as general manager of MarketWatch.com; Matt Ellsworth as vice president of marketing at The Wall Street Journal Digital Network; and Sandra Baez as vice president of advertising operations at The Wall Street Journal Digital Network.

Adidas tapped EVB to help create a Web-driven song promo for Major League Soccer. The athletics company has launched “MLS Represent” to pair 13 MLS teams with a musician for an original anthem song. Fans can download the songs.

Cornerstone rehired Chris Atlas as vice president of strategic marketing and brand properties. Atlas earlier left the marketing firm to work as senior director of entertainment marketing at Amp’d Mobile.

VistaPrint tapped Visual Sciences for customer analysis. The provider of graphic design services and customized printed products will use the Visual Site application to monitor customer interaction and behavior on the company’s Web sites.

Semphonic hired June Dershewitz as vice president of analytics. The Web analytics consultancy tasked Dershewitz with helping enterprise clients integrate Web and customer data.

Aardman Animations selected ROOGroup to relaunch the Wallace and Gromit Web site. The animation studio will use Roo to make its video content openly available online for the first time.

Range Online Media hired Dustin Engel as director of consumer strategy and research. The search marketing agency tasked Engel with managing its newly launched in-house strategy and research department.

Nine West named Tribal DDB Chicago as its agency of record. The footwear, accessories and apparel company tasked the digital agency with launching a new Web site.
