NeoEdge Networks hired Gary Kinnsch as director of sales; Columbus Dispatch taps AdStar to power Web classifieds.
NeoEdge Networks hired Gary Kinnsch as director of sales focused on the gaming industry. Kinnsch has held management posts with Knowledge Adventure, Eidos Interactive, Acclaim Entertainment and Microsoft.
The Columbus Dispatch will use AdStar’s Web-based ad sales technology to power its online classifieds. AdStar charges a fixed monthly hosting fee and a fixed fee for each ad sold.
Fodor’s Travel will deploy a private label version of Quigo’s contextual ad platform, AdSonar, on its Web site. Fodors.com will sell sponsored links on its home page and throughout its pages and sections.
LeapFrog Enterprises, developer of the FLY pentop computer, handed its advertising account to TBWAChiatDay. The assignment followed a formal review.
Emma E-mail Marketing hired Bo Spessard as director of operations. He joins from law firm Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz, where he practiced in the business and technology group.
Nick Velloff, AKQA’s director of creative development in D.C., has left the shop to launch a new agency with fiancée Lindsey Slaby. At AKQA he managed Flash development for Vitamin Water, AOL and ESPN.
