PointRoll hires two former DoubleClick execs; Bally Total Fitness hires Webmaster, names interactive firm for new initiatives; Vaybee.com AG renews with Open AdStream.

PointRoll has hired Roger Jehenson as VP of business development and publisher relations and Joy Wheeler as VP of channel development for the company’s Yahoo account.

Jehenson spent three years as director of strategic sales in DoubleClick’s technology solutions division, and he founded the consulting firm American Revenue Consulting. Wheeler also served at DoubleClick tech solutions, as director of global accounts.

“These are two marketing services professionals who understand the business from top to bottom,” said PointRoll CEO Jules Gardner.

Boosting its investment in online marketing, Bally Total Fitness recently hired Cornelis De Jong as Webmaster and named Agency.com to work on a range of interactive initiatives.

Prior to joining Bally, De Jong was ad operations manager at OAG Worldwide in Chicago, where he led online advertising and strategic marketing. He also held Internet marketing and development positions at AOL Time Warner.

“The Internet is an important medium and a key consumer touch point, and we are committed to extending the total fitness experience to the Web,” said Bally CMO Martin Pazzani.

Vaybee.com AG, a European portal targeting the Turkish community, has renewed its agreement to exclusively use 24/7 Real Media’s Open AdStream Local for ad serving. Hasim Kulmac, managing director of Vaybee.com AG, said the decision was motivated by Open Adstream’s user-friendly interface and its geotargeting capabilities.

Red Door Interactive has won La Jolla-based Therapeutics, Inc. as a client. Therapeutics will tap Red Door for a new logo and Web site design.
