Houston Theater District gets new site; Origin Design hires design director; and Microsoft and Google settle poaching dispute.

The Web Marketing Company built a new site for the Houston Theater District. The online presence provides performance and venue information for nine performing arts organizations.

Cross-media agency Origin Design hired Denise Madera as design director. She was most recently with Inc. Design as an assistant creative director. Her client work includes campaigns for ADP and Tyco.

Microsoft has settled with Google over the latter’s poaching of Dr. Kai-Fu Lee to helm its China operation. Microsoft released a statement to the effect that an agreement had been reached, but didn’t disclose specifics.
