icrossing hires two; Winstar Interactive names an Eastern region sales manager; Burson-Marsteller promotes Kutz.

Search marketing firm icrossing hired Erik Mednis as creative director and Jason Ferrara as director of project management. Mednis’ experience includes stints with Agency.com and Foote, Cone and Belding. Ferrara was director of implementation for Bigfoot Interactive.

Winstar Interactive, a unit of Interep Interactive, hired Jim Brandt as Eastern regional sales manager, replacing Paul Rostkowski. Rostkowski left to join Hoovers.com. Brandt joins from Blue Sky Media, where for two years he was VP of East Coast sales. Earlier, he held the same post with Vivendi/Universal-MP3.com.

Burson-Marsteller promoted Kevin Kutz to director of its new Midwest technology practice. Kutz will oversee expansion of the PR firm’s clientele and capabilities in Chicago and throughout the central U.S.
