Digitas promotes six; R/GA hires Zucker from OgilvyOne; IAC names an agency of record for Hotels.com unit.
Digitas promoted six execs at its Modem Media and Digitas agencies. Three at each agency have been made SVP. At Modem Media, the anointed include Tim Cunningham, who heads strategy and enablement in San Francisco; Jodi Manning, senior creative director in San Francisco; and Rich McCarthy, who handles business management in Norwalk. At Digitas, strategy and enablement Veeps Alec Bokman and Norman de Greve were promoted, as was Boston account planning exec Jeff Flemings.
R/GA hired Mat Zucker as creative director. Zucker , most recently a senior partner and group creative director with OgilvyOne, will lead creative direction for Johnson & Johnson and other accounts. Earlier, he was group creative director at digital shop Novo/Blue Marble.
InterActiveCorp named Avenue A / Razorfish as interactive agency of record for its Hotels.com subsidiary. The agency was already providing digital media strategy for the client, which expanded the relationship to integrate its search program with all online marketing.
Ripple Effects Interactive built a new site for W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery, a maker of hand crafted knives. The site has a collectors club with about 18,000 members.
Separately, the agency has begun offering a digital PR service, which will work with blogs and provide advertising and monitoring services on a per-client basis.
Gotham daily paper amNew York tapped AdStar to power its online classified ad sales. The offering will let advertisers manage print and online classified ads through the newspaper’s Web site.
