Klipmart taps a VP of strategic accounts; Rand McNally chooses an e-mail marketing vendor; and MAAWG gets two new members.
Online video player Klipmart promoted Rick Kleczkowski to VP of strategic accounts, a new post. Kleczkowski was VP of Latin America in Klipmart’s São Paulo, Brazil office. Responsibility for that region has been handed off to Enrique Carretero, sales director for the region. Before joining Klipmart, Kleczkowski led business development for Omnicom’s AGENCY.COM.
E-mail marketing firm SKYLIST and ISP Comcast have joined the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group. The email firm said it would provide a “sender perspective, CAN-SPAM compliance savvy and business acumen” to the group. It’s the first email service provider to join. As for Comcast, it hopes to help in the areas of technology, industry collaboration and public policy.
Mapmaker Rand McNally has tapped Silverpop to provide email marketing expertise and services. The email firm says its deliverability expertise, ease of use and technological capabilities helped it win the account. The companies will work together to create campaigns to promote mapping, routing, and trip-planning products to a variety of markets.
Rare Method hired a video and motion graphics team. The new staff will work with the Canadian agency’s other marketing teams on design projects for interactive, broadcast and other media.
