United Virtualities has filled three newly created executiveposts. The rich media company hired Matias Charas as chief financial officer, Scott Kurttila as business development manager, and Natalia Scalia as director of channel partnerships.
Charas was with Citibank N.A. for four years as senior financial analyst in capital markets. Kurttila spent five years with Amazon.com as business development manager. Scalia has been a business analyst with e-volution for five years.
Mindjet, a provider of information management software, hired former Brightmail marketing head Francois Lavaste as VP of worldwide marketing and strategy. At Brightmail, Lavaste oversaw the email security and anti-spam firm’s launch in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Brightmail was acquired by Symantec this Summer.
“Francois’ experience in the business-to-business market will be extremely useful to Mindjet as we seek to aggressively expand into the enterprise,” said Mindjet CEO Robert Gordon.
FreeLotto.com tapped Interep Interactive to be the exclusive representative for ad sales on its site. “FreeLotto’s online sweepstakes attract an enormous audience,” said Interep President Adam Guild. “Our mission is to monetize that audience by communicating its value to a variety of advertisers who seek to attract active, engaged consumers with targeted interests. ”
WhitePages.com promoted Kevin Hicks to VP of online ad sales. Hicks joined the company in early 2003 as director of online ad sales. Earlier, he managed sales for Go2net, Peterson Publishing and other publishers.
