Silverpop opens Munich office; Unicast makes four appointments in Europe.
E-mail marketing and relationship management firm Silverpop has opened an office in Munich. Venture capital firm the European Founders Fund (EFF) will assist financially. Marc Hergenroether will head up the new operation, having joined Silverpop from online marketing solutions provider Enecto, where he served as general manager for Germany. Beate Metz and John Thomson will be responsible for selling the firm’s Engage platform, designed to allow marketers to create and manage multichannel marketing campaigns.
Unicast, the U.S.-based rich-media and video solutions provider, has announced four new appointments in Europe as it attempts to build out its operations there. Daniel Philpot, based out of London, has been appointed senior director of sales for EMEA, while Marc-Oliver Michel will assume the role of senior territory manager for Central Europe, based in Hamburg. Joining them, Frank Upkabia will be responsible for publisher and direct advertiser sales in Central Europe, while Daniel Salt has been appointed territory sales manager based in the London office.
