Read to lead comScore in Europe; Syrup sticks to Stockholm agency; twentysix hires de Wynter
comScore has appointed Mike Read to the position of SVP and managing director for Europe. According to comScore, the appointment comes courtesy of a record growth year for the firm, thanks in part to the acquisition of mobile measurement outfit M:Metrics in June. Read, who has been with comScore since 2004, will now be responsible for all EMEA activities, and will preside over the firm’s European offices in the U.K., France, and Germany.
Agency network LBi is merging Stockholm-based agency Starring with Syrup New York to create an international boutique shop under the Syrup banner. Both have backgrounds in interactive creative. The merger is a strategic one, designed to eliminate conflicting interests between the agencies and to help serve their global clients more effectively. The partnership will double Syrup’s existing resources, and will establish a European headquarters in Stockholm.
Full service digital agency twentysix has hired Lex de Wynter as its strategy director. Joining from TEQUILA/ London, where he held a similar role, de Wynter will now head up twentysix’s planning function across its Leeds and London offices.
