.Fox Promotes; Publicis France Hires; Agency.com Grabs Proximity Man

clickz_ukandeu.gif News Corp’s .Fox Networks has promoted Federica Aperio to managing director of U.K. operations. Aperio will head up the ad network’s local operations, including sales, publisher services and optimization. Aperio joined .Fox Networks in early 2008 as director of publisher services for Europe, prior to which she served as publisher services director for Advertising.com.

Robert Namias will join Publicis Groupe as advisor to the chairman and CEO of Publicis Groupe’s Management Board. In addition, he will serve as VP of Publicis Consultants France.Namias will join Publicis from TV broadcaster TF1, where he has been employed since 1986, on October 1.

Agency.com has appointed Proximity London’s head of strategy, Mark Hancock, as its new U.K. strategy director. Prior to his time at Proximity, Hancock held senior planning roles at JWT and Ogilvy & Mather.

VideoEgg has appointed Paps Shaikh as its new European managing director. Shaikh will be tasked with expanding VideoEgg’s European business, and joins from AdJug where he held the position of vice president of advertising.

Ad sales house AdGent 007 has signed an exclusive contract with Bauer Media, allowing it to sell international inventory across its online properties. Bauer sites include FHM, Empire and Kerrang.

The National Magazine Company has appointed Greenlight to handle its paid search account, which was previously held by i-level. Its brands include Cosmopolitan, Good Housekeeping and Harper’s Bazaar.

Digital creative agency Perfect Fools has appointed former Nike International marketing director Tom O’Kennedy as its first non-executive director. O’Kennedy will be responsible for developing the agency’s international efforts.
