Advertising.com loses staff to Specific Media; Lateral goes off on a Tangent; eType partners with Muzu.tv
Specific Media, the behavioral targeting firm, has launched an office in Copenhagen, Denmark to help drive business in Northern Europe. Michael Chabert, previously of AOL’s Advertising .com, has been appointed as Vice President of Northern Europe, and will be responsible for growing the company’s market share across the region. Birgitte Johncke, who joins from Yahoo, will assume the title of country manager for the Denmark operation. Claus Osterby, who also joins from Advertising.com, will fill the role of sales director. The firm said the new office was central in its “aggressive expansion plans for Europe.”
Digital creative agency Lateral has been acquired by Tangent Communications, and will be merged with Tangent One, the group’s full service digital agency. From next week, Lateral will be based out of Tangent’s London office on Great Portland Street. It will continue to service its current client roster which includes RSPCA, Hachette U.K., and clothing brand Firetrap.
Online ad network, eType, has entered into an exclusive sales partnership with music TV site, MUZU.TV. The deal will see eType’s sales staff selling all video and display opportunities across the MUZU video distribution network, which includes MUZU.TV, and embedded players on social networking and partner sites. MUZU enables labels and bands to broadcast their video content across the Web, and get paid 50/50 net ad revenue share.
