Execs & Accounts: Varick Media, Big Spaceship, Electus

New execs at Varick Media, Electus, and imc²; Nurun acquires Odopod.

Paul Rostkowski Named President of Varick Media Management. Rostkowski joins after serving as chief revenue officer at Lucidmedia Inc. for three and a half years. Rostkowski states his vision for VMM is to “build a world class center of excellence that deploys best of breed technology and talent in the digital marketing ecosystem.”

Big Spaceship Launches New Beverage Site. Brooklyn-based creative agency has launched an interactive website for the vitamin-enhanced beverage Activate. The free-flowing site also connects to Activate’s Facebook page, allowing consumers to search for nearby retailers, access special offers, and learn more about the brand’s partnership with Nourish America.

Chris Grant Appointed CEO of Electus. Multimedia studio Electus hired Chris Grant as CEO effective November 1. He will be responsible for growth across global TV, digital, and branded entertainment. Grant joins Electus after serving as president of television program distributor Shine International.

Dominic Powers Picks Up Duties at Epsilon. The SVP, Asia Pacific has taken on the additional role of managing director, international operations, where he will oversee all Epsilon operations in both Europe and the Asian Pacific region. In the new position, Powers will expand Epsilon’s services in the two regions in support of global and local brands as well as building these relationships and developing solutions via strategic data analytics.

imc² Announces Names VP. The strategic and creative agency has hired Reshma Taufiq Pendelton as VP, client partner to manage its RadioShack and World Vision accounts. Pendleton will lead strategy and account management for clients in the agency’s business-to-business and consumer technology industries. Prior to the hire she led teams at R/GA, Wunderman, and Tribal DDB in addition to serving as director of delivery at Euro RSCG.

Nurun Inc. Acquires Digital Agency Odopod. Nurun Inc., a subsidiary of Canadian telecommunications giant Quebecor Inc., has acquired Odopod, the San Francisco-based digital agency whose client roster includes Google, Electronic Arts, and Sony Electronics. The acquisition will add a significant U.S. presence to the global network of the largest independent digital agency in the world.
