NEW YORK – Creative shops Ayzenberg Group and Double You took top honors at the fifth annual Eyeblaster creative awards last night in Manhattan. As in past years, the rich media technology firm held its long-running bash in conjunction with the Ad:Tech New York conference.
The U.S.-based Ayzenberg Group was recognized for its Habbo Hotel campaign in the North American category, while Spanish agency Double You won the international award for its Audi A3 Sportback campaign.
The two winners were chosen through an online voting process. Judges first selected finalists out of thousands of entries, and the Web community chose the winners.
In a separate, Judge’s Choice, category, AKQA gained recognition for its ESPN Fantasy Football campaign in North America. In the international arena, the judges concurred with the people, also bestowing the award on Double You for the Audi effort.
Drinks flowed and attendees socialized non-stop until the emcee, WIT Strategy’s Mark Naples, took the stage to announce the award winners.
Eyeblaster grants the awards to encourage creatives to make the most of the rich media opportunities available on the Web. Judges, who represented prominent agencies and editorial outlets, each voted separately. Sponsors include ClickZ, which served as media partner.
