The interactive and direct marketing arm of Foote Cone & Belding, FCBi, has a new managing director. Hyo Yeon, who formerly worked on the Coca Cola business at the Rockwell Group’s Studio Red, will hold the title executive vice president and managing director.
At the trendy architectural firm the Rockwell Group, Yeon was the lead client service and strategy director serving Coca Cola as part of Studio Red, in which the cola giant became an investor. Studio Red, a “design lab and creative catalyst” for the Coca Cola company’s brands, was behind the Red Lounge concept, which created trendy interactive spaces for teenagers in suburban malls. It also created “the CC Cruiser,” a four-wheeled sampling and selling platform.
Prior to her experiential marketing gig at Studio Red, Yeon worked at Web shop Razorfish as an executive vice president, where she handled corporate positioning and strategy. She also held the positions of vice president of strategy and managing director of the New York office. She began her career at Razorfish as director of solutions management. Razorfish is now a part of aQuantive.
“Hyo is clearly going to be a leader in our organization, elevating our stature and bringing some exciting and powerful capabilities to our team,” said Lynne Seid, president of the New York office of FCB, in a statement. FCB didn’t say whether Yeon’s position was newly created, or whether she was replacing another employee.
