From discovering news about Prince George and the new Iphone 5S, to learning about the inspiring Malala Yousafzai and the sad departure of Nelson Mandela, the year-end report makes for an insightful read.
A few well performing brands who seem to have successfully taken advantage of digitally-savvy consumers have made an appearance in the top 10 trending global searches, with Apple’s marketing team playing the game right to ensure the iPhone 5S was awarded the impressive third place, just behind the deaths of Nelson Mandela and The Fast and The Furious star, Paul Walker.

The Samsung team, whose famously popular ads for the Galaxy S3 mocked Apple fanboys, was awarded eighth place on the most trending worldwide topics of 2013 for its Galaxy S4, bolstered by another successful digital marketing campaign.
