The internet is a weird and wonderful tool that on the surface of things seems pretty straight forward, that is until you delve a little deeper and it… well… well it’s still pretty straight forward, but for some reason not everyone can grasp it. Around 95 per cent of the internet is compiled of either pointless or wasted websites, many of which are faltering because of their poor SEO campaigns, which can prove to be quite costly in the grand scheme of things.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is one of the most important aspects of any business trying to promote itself online, so in order to become more noticeable it is important that you form an effective strategy. Regardless of how competitive the market is in which you conduct your business you should always aim to be at the top of the pile, but with Google constantly moving the goalposts it may be in your best interests to take a step back and consider your next move.

Hold regular SEO reviews

With the constant fluctuation of SEO, it can become quite problematic if you continue to use strategies which you have used in the past. For this reason it is imperative that you hold regular SEO audits and reviews so you can help identify trends in the market that may boost your online appeal to potential clients. This is a simple and effective method of highlighting which areas you need to target in order to unlock your full potential.

With Google updates hitting unhealthy websites hard, it’s important to strategically plan a successful SEO campaign. So if your website has received low quality link building in the past, then this could affect you where it hurts as your rankings will crumble before you. You need to form a well-structured approach on all fronts with targeted link building, outreach and engaging content which doesn’t fall into the same structure as the rest.

Consider what your team thinks

Having a company which relies on SEO to promote itself can be a bit of a risky strategy, but if it is done correctly the benefits could be endless. With so many rival companies contesting for the top seat however it can become a challenge to come up with new ideas that can set you apart from the crowds, but the best answer can often be the simplest. By holding weekly meetings with your team in order to discuss your clients or your operations, you could get them to devise ideas which could potentially identify the best method for improvement.
