Kanoodle Gets New CEO

Kanoodle's president takes the company's reins, as CEO Keating becomes chairman.

Kanoodle promoted President Lance Podell to CEO, as founder and former chief executive Kent Keating becomes chairman. Podell takes the reins immediately and will be based in the company’s New York offices.

Kanoodle hired Podell away from competitor Sprinks, after Sprinks parent About sold the business to Google. Podell was general manager at Sprinks and Kanoodle put him in charge of launching its content division. Podell was one of three Sprinks execs, along with Doug Perlson and Mark Josephson, who were successfully poached by Kanoodle just over a year ago.

Earlier, Podell was chief marketing officer of DealTime, which is now Shopping.com.

“I’m thrilled to be able to lead Kanoodle as we redefine the sponsored links industry and set the standard for product innovation, program execution and advertiser satisfaction,” said Podell.
